LOVE SONG OF A JOURNEY MAN

By VIHANG A. NAIK

Your upholding

down-

ward

look.

Dimpled shyness,

warmer breath.

Transparent eyes.

Flickering flames.

Ankle play.

I’d then begun

to hear wings

in empty spaces.

A song

in the desert

of my heart.

A first journey.

DAWN TO DUSK

PRIYANKA DEY

Together we started walking
on this life’s course.
You pushed me on,my guide,
my driving force.
You made me find my smile
when my heart was melancholy.
You made me see the purity
in a world that was unholy.
When I was too scared to dream
you gave me the confidence.
You made me love my true self
and helped me shed my pretence.
When I wanted to cry
you were there with your shoulder to lend.
You have been the anchor in my life.
My philosopher, my friend.
And walking together hand in hand
I don’t know when I crossed the line.
I fell in love with my best friend.
Naturally, without any design.
Now that I am aware of how I feel
I don’t know what to do.
Do I tell you of my serendipity?
Or do I go on quietly loving you?
I will leave it up to you to discern~
Why I am aglow when you enter the room.
Why, when you near,
everything I am, bursts into a bloom.
I will let you see for yourself
how you have changed me.
How though I existed till now,
your love has made me live completely.
How your presence makes me absolute,
how your nearness makes me whole.
And no matter how long
you take to see my love,
you will always have
The undying devotion of this soul.

MYSTICAL ANGEL

By VITTALDAS PRABHU

An Angel was born yet again,
One that had left, Had reigned pain,
To lift the burden of unforgivingness,
Had this beautiful Angel come to bless.

Her dear ones held her high,
Life had thrived that was once wry,
A new meaning had souls found,
Happiness and Joy in Hearts abound.

A heart so sweet that gave them strength,
They found it all and wanted no wealth,
They offered their breaths to life’s extent,
So the Angel could find nothing to vent.

Almighty’s bundle of Joy was this Angel,
Impossible for him to part with such a treasure,
Enough of waving the Happy Wand, He said,
Singing a lullaby to His Angel, “Get to bed”.

Day had cried, the Clouds had shed,
Weary eyes had turned watery red,
No way will the lives find a new light,
The Sun has decided to never shine bright.

DEATH

By YASEEN ANWER

‘O’ what a feeling death

All have to walk this path

Everyone know he is to die

None but god can say why.

Mention is in heaven

Home of all good men and women

No one knows when he is to die

Can’t even if they try.

Time of death can’t be delayed

Be it a king, queen or a maid

Death comes to everyone

Taking lives of everyone

Death, death, o what a feeling…
